The founders and owners of Cabrera’s Family Restaurant at 625 E Live Oak Ave. hosted dozens of family members, city officials, and Arcadia Chamber executives, board members, and Ambassadors at a 30th anniversary ribbon-cutting celebration and Business Mixer Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015.
Founder Manuel Cabrera, his brother and current co-owner Effrain Cabrera, as well Effrain’s cousin and co-owner Guillermo, who joined the team 25 years ago when he turned 18, all thanked their family and loyal customers for their success. The restaurant has also recently undergone a remodel. The celebration was held in the parking lot behind the restaurant, where attendees enjoyed numerous delicious selections of tacquitos, enchiladas, ceviche, a spread of fruits and peppers, and other food and drinks, including a variety of delicious wines. After the ceremony, a solo singer entertained and impressed attendees.

Manuel Cabrera opened the restaurant on August 7, 1985 featuring a menu mixed with Mexican and American fare in a very Mexican style. The delicious and fresh food and personalized service proved so popular and word spread so fast that today Cabrera’s Mexican Cuisine operates and owns three locations.
The family was presented certificates of congratulations by Arcadia City Council Member Sho Tay, Arcadia Chamber President-Elect Vicki Knight of Century Rooter Service & Plumbing, and representatives from legislators Congresswoman Judy Chu, State Senator Dr. Ed Hernandez, and Assemblymember Ed Chau.
