With the support of the Pico Rivera Marine Corp Training Center, Rose Hills Memorial Park & Mortuary collected more than 5,000 items of donated clothing at its fifth annual Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day event on March 22. The clothing drive was part of daylong activities that included a resource fair, barbecue, military and musical performances and a homeless veteran burial service.
Rose Hills was pleased to make this donation to Working Wardrobes — their largest yet from Rose Hills — which helps veterans and community members in crises get back to work by providing assessments, training and professional attire.
The Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day event is one of many events Rose Hills hosts throughout the year. A tradition for many families, Rose Hills’ annual events are held to reflect, observe, learn and celebrate as a community.
