C & L Auto Body
C & L, which specializes in body, frame and paint repairs, as well as in collision claims handling, was started by Luis Buonsanti, an immigrant from Argentina and patriarch of the small family he brought to this country in the hopes of obtaining the American dream.
C&L was originally on Live Oak Avenue in Arcadia until around 1979, then moved next door with offices at 132 Las Tunas Dr. with the repair facility extending to Live Oak.
As the business grew and Mr. Buonsanti retired, his three children joined the company. Sandra Rentschler is the company’s CEO and operations manager. Sergio Buonsanti is the Vice President and Sales Manager and Maurice Buonsanti is the company’s Secretary and production manager. Kristen Buonsanti ( Maurice’s wife) is the office manager.
As the family grew, so did C & L. The children of each of the principals were often seen working in and learning the family business in what has been the definition of a true “family business.”
The family at C & L also found itself serving many generations of its customers as the many years went by.
C & L Auto body and it’s principals have been recognized over the years by many different dignitaries for their service to the community, including commendations by Senator Bob Margett, LA County Supervisor Michael Antonovich, Senator Ed Hernandez, LA City Council member Jose Huizar, and Senator Gloria Romero.
After 45 years of serving the community of Arcadia and surrounding cities, C & L has relocated to the City of Covina to continue it’s service to all of the residents San Gabriel Valley.
