S. Sanders Insurance Company President Sandra Hart and her staff was showered with praise, certificates and plaques from Legislative representatives and City and Arcadia Chamber of Commerce officials this afternoon (Oct. 23, 2013) in celebration of more than 60 years of service in Arcadia and 55 years as a member of the Chamber.

Those making presentations were City Clerk Gene Glasco; Chamber President Arlynn Robinson of Century 21 Earll; Congresswoman Judy Chu representative Tommy Tseng; Assemblymember Ed Chau representative Olivia Lee; County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich representative Brian Mejia; and Chamber Ambassador chairwoman and board member Sylvia Ramos of Dilbeck Real Estate.
Hart introduced many of the more than a dozen staff of the company at 150 N. Santa Anita Ave. on the first floor of the tall white office tower. Many have been employed there for decades, with only one introduced who had been there less than 10 years. Sanders offers all manner of insurance and has done so since opening in the late 1940s and occupying several locations in Arcadia before moving to the current office 17 years ago. Founder Stephen H. Sanders died in 2006 but his last dog Posey joined the festivities Wednesday.
The S. Sanders agency, a team of 16 agents with locations in Arcadia and Temecula Valley, acts as agents and brokers for property & casualty lines, life and group health as well as bonds, marine and commercial line. They are appointed with may A+ top rated insurance companies and have access to many surplus lines markets.
Also in attendance for the ceremony were Arcadia Economic Development Manager Jerry Schwartz; other Chamber board members Tamara Kato of Comfort Keepers, Vicki Knight of Century Rooter Service & Plumbing, and John Sun of Budget Blinds, the latter two of whom are also Chamber Ambassadors. Other Ambassadors in attendance were Don Fandry, Elks Lodge; Mark Ramos, Vista Paints; Glenn Oyoung, Turn 3 Creative; and Rich Jones, San Marino Tribune.
After the ceremony, the agency hosted an Open House till 7 p.m. featuring plenty of delicious food, drinks and raffle prizes.
