The impressive story of the Arcadia Chinese Association was presented in an informative PowerPoint Thursday (March 6, 2014) by recent ACA President Edward Wong.
Wong was introduced by Forum chairman Jack Orswell in the Chamber’s conference room sponsored by Foothill Credit Union. Current ACA President Joanna Liang handed out the association’s popular annual yearbooks to attendees of the forum.

The Arcadia Chinese Association (commonly known as “ACA”) is a service organization established 32 years ago in 1982 (became a non-profit organization in 1994 and received official 501(c)(3) status in 2007) and comprised entirely of community volunteers. The ACA provides volunteering and community services and has donated about $23,000 each year to many local organizations in keeping with its mission to:

- Support educational and charitable activities in Arcadia;
- Bridge cultural gaps; and
- Assist new immigrants to understand American traditions, citizenship, and community values.
