The Arcadia Chamber crowd met for an evening of amazing food and drinks yesterday (April 11, 2017) at the lovely Four Seasons Tea Room. The invite to such a charming venue was quite an enticing offer as the turnout soon became standing room only. Guests were invited to sample from a wide range of dishes which included; Freshly Baked Bread, Freshly Made Scones served with Clotted Cream and Preserves, Watermelon Mint Salad, Heirloom Tomatoes with Basil and Mozzarella, Chicken Salad, Tomato and Cucumber Finger Sandwiches, Cactus Salad served with Tortilla Chips, Fresh Spring Green Salad and a large Roasted Vegetable Platter. Steve Sciurba of The Kensington donated wine from Via One Hope, as well the Four Seasons Tea Room also provided refreshment with their Hibiscus Tea and Rose, Lavender and Mint Flavored Water.
It was plain to see last night that Rosa Jaime owner of the Four Seasons Tea Room is a natural when it comes to hosting. When asked about her talent towards hospitality Rosa’s eyes brightened as she shared the statement, “I love people, I just love to be around people.” This love towards her role as a host was apparent in how she managed to find the time to greet and share a moment with every one of her 60+ guest. Rosa shared that she learned everything she knows about hosting and managing from her 24 years at Beadles Cafeteria where she started as a person folding place utensils and eventually worked her way up to management. Due to the familial nature of Beadles Cafeteria, Rosa was able to develop amazing rapport with the regulars at the restaurant. When the Beadles Cafeteria closed Rosa took her passion for the Victorian era and love of hosting applying it to her new venture of opening up the Four Seasons Tea Room.
