The iconic Rod’s Grill in Arcadia will host this month’s Arcadia Chamber of Commerce Love Lunch, sponsored by The Law Offices of Hart, Mieras & Morris, Inc. at 41 West Huntington Drive from 11:30 p.m. – 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 24.
Built in 1956, Rod’s Grill is one of Arcadia’s historic treasures that connect several generations of family members. “I don’t think of it as just the food service business,” Rod’s Grill owner Manny Romero said at a recent Arcadia Chamber Networking Breakfast where his restaurant was honored with a tribute as an Arcadia Business Icon. He stressed the importance of the experience and countless memories that Rod’s provides. Some of his customers not only eat at Rod’s daily but some have multiple meals there every day.
The Americana diner with a diverse menu of comfort food including sloppy joes has been used as a location in recent years for TV series such as “Mad Men” and “Luck,” among others.
The Love Lunch was created by the Arcadia Chamber in 2014 for members and prospective members who love lunch and love getting out of their homes or away from their office for a chance to relax and meet some new people and network. Attendees are invited to come anytime between 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month at a different restaurant each time. Order what you want and pay individually.
