About a dozen Chamber members enjoyed showing love for longtime Chamber member Carmine’s Italian Restaurant and Bar at the first monthly Arcadia Chamber Love Lunch today (Wednesday, May 21).
The monthly casual lunches are designed to encourage Chamber members to show support for their fellow Chamber member businesses while enjoying a no-agenda lunch to get to know each other and just have a good time – conversations ranged from stylish shoes (see photo below) to the California Women’s Conference to TV shows like “Dancing with the Stars,” “Amazing Race” and “24.”
Several attendees tried the delicious cuisine for the first time, which pleased Carmine’s manager Brandi Courson to not only get a dozen lunchtime customers but also a couple first-timers who will surely return and also tell their friends as well as share their experience on social media.

Among the attendees were City Council Member Sho Tay, Chamber President Denise Weaver of Weaver & Associates Insurance, Vice President Vicki Knight of Century Rooter Service and Plumbing, CEO Scott Hettrick, and Chamber board member John Sun of Budget Blinds.
Attendees can come and go whenever they like from 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month – everyone pays for their own meal. The next Love Lunch will be on June 18 at the Din Tai Fung Dumpling House at 1108 S. Baldwin Avenue — the newer location to the north (enter from the parking lot in back next to the bank). Please RSVP this time so we can be sure to reserve enough chairs and tables.
