Big news for California homebuyers—California Dream For All Shared Appreciation Loan registration will be open from February 24 through March 16, 2026.This program is designed to help first-time and first-generation homebuyers purchase a home by offering significant down payment and closing cost assistance. While registration hasn’t opened yet, now is the time to start preparing.

Program Highlights

Up to 20% of the purchase price for down payment or closing costs
Maximum assistance of $150,000
Voucher-based system selected by a randomized drawing (not first come, first served)Dream for All

Basic Eligibility Requirements

All borrowers must be first-time homebuyers. .
At least one borrower must be a current California resident.
Household income must fall within CalHFA county income limits
At least one borrower must be a first-generation homebuyer .
