EWD Pulse Newsletter – FOW 2025 – Finding Resiliency After the Fires: The Panel Discussion
Our goal for the 7th Annual Future of Work Conference was to define resilience, as that mind-set informs the actions of the region’s many leaders and community members. Our four-person panel of experts (Monica Banken, LA County; Anthony Cordova, VC WED CCCCO; Kelly LoBianco, LA DEO, and Lizzy Okoro Davidson, Pasadena WBC) each contributed experience and information to help attendees understand better how the LA region is responding to the fires and their aftermath.
Without a doubt, it was an inspiring and uplifting conversation. Not surprisingly, each panelist described successes in the face of disaster; innovation in the face of lack, and hope in lieu of despair and desolation, when describing how they and their agency moved through the fires and into the recovery phase. All offered thoughts on how the region will grow post-conflagration, and insights on what their respective agencies are doing to facilitate that.
This week’s Podcast features panelist Lizzy Okoro Davidson, the Director of the Pasadena Women’s Business Center, who shares her insights on how women are affected by circumstances like these. And today’s Pulse newsletter shares the panelists comments to a series of questions about how LA will rise and thrive after its recent catastrophe.
