EWD Pulse Newsletter – LA Regroups for a Resilient Recover
Greetings!
As much as we are comfortable with the status-quo, we are also able to contemplate a better situation when that stasis situation disappears. As the LA region continues its recovery efforts post-flames, entities both public and private are collaborating on how to move the needle(s) forward. Data collected by LA’s Centers of Excellence (COE) indicates that the rebuild process will be more complex that originally thought because of the (vastly underrated) interconnectedness of the regions’ industries, businesses, and systems.
To some, the road to recovery may appear to be too pitted and destroyed to achieve a meaningful improvement. To others, however, the current state of LA’s renewal process offers more opportunities to achieve bigger, better, and beyond than were previously thought. In this edition of The Pulse, we’re looking at how new and imaginative options and pathways to recovery are rising from some unexpected sources.
Also, you’ll find on today’s Podcast our conversation with Eloy Ortiz Oakley, the President and CEO of the Colleges Futures Foundation, who recognizes the value of advanced education for working learners. There’s a lot going on and much to do! Let’s get busy!
