Santa Anita Park is offering a free business booth for Arcadia Chamber of Commerce business members on the infield of the track on the opening day of Breeders’ Cup from 12 noon – 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, 2014. About 40,000 fans are expected to be crowded into the stadium to watch races televised live by NBC Sports.
Not only is it Breeders’ Cup, but it is also Hallowe’en, and the City of Arcadia is partnering with Santa Anita to put on a spectacular trick or treat “Fright Day” filled with activities including carnival rides, pumpkin painting, a petting zoo, pony rides and more that is expected to draw an additional 4,000 or more families and kids. Any Arcadia resident will be admitted free to the infield event through the gate at the north parking lot at Gate 6 off Colorado Place when they show a Drivers’ License or proof of residency in Arcadia. Employees connected with the businesses participating as vendors at the event will also be admitted free to the infield. Bring as many employees as you need, but please note that your infield pass will not admit you to the grandstands of the stadium.
Local businesses are not allowed to sell food, beverages or any products but may provide handouts and are encouraged to create fun family and children activities and give-aways themed to Hallowe’en. Each business will be provided a table and two chairs and a simple sign for your company name that Santa Anita will produce for you at no charge. Some Hallowe’en candy will be permitted as hand-outs, and small samples of shave ice may also be allowed.
Please contact the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce as soon as possible so that we may put you in touch with Santa Anita to coordinate your reservation and information. 626-447-2159 / Info@ArcadiaCaChamber.org
