Join the City of San Gabriel & World Journal at the Lantern Festival – March 21 & 22
Join the City of San Gabriel and World Journal as they host one of the most exciting cultural celebrations in the Mission District, the Lantern Festival celebrating the Year of the Fire Horse.
This two-day festival begins at 10:00 AM on Saturday and will showcase the latest state-of-the-art lantern displays sponsored by the Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA). Many of these stunning lantern installations will be unveiled in the United States for the very first time.
Visitors will also enjoy live cultural performances, delicious street food, free DIY lantern activities, and traditional sweet dumplings.
This festival also reflects the meaningful partnership that began building in 2024. This unique cultural partnership allows the community to enjoy world-class lantern exhibitions without creating additional financial burden for our city.
Together, we continue working toward a shared vision of making San Gabriel a true Lantern City, bringing culture, hope, and happiness to our community.
