Pasadena Humane to Speak at Arcadia Community Coordinating Council
Arcadia, CA — The Arcadia Community Coordinating Council is honored to welcome Michelle McGraw, Events Project Manager at Pasadena Humane as the featured speaker at its upcoming meeting on April 6, 2026.
During the presentation, McGraw will provide an overview of Pasadena Humane’s mission and the wide range of services the organization provides to animals and the community. Her talk will highlight programs including animal sheltering, pet adoption, wildlife rehabilitation, veterinary services, humane education, and community outreach initiatives that support both pets and the people who care for them.
McGraw brings nearly a decade of experience with Pasadena Humane and is currently in her ninth year at the shelter. Throughout her tenure, she has worked in multiple departments including Humane Education, Outreach, and Philanthropy, helping to expand community awareness of the organization’s life-saving work.
As Events Project Manager, McGraw has helped develop and implement several signature community events that engage the public while supporting animal welfare. These include the popular Kitten Shower, Wildlife Day, Paint Your Pet, and Holiday Photos events, each designed to bring the community together while raising awareness and resources for animals in need.
Outside of her professional work, McGraw is deeply passionate about animals and family life. She remarried three years ago and is the proud mother of two daughters. Her household also includes two beloved pets: Jasmine, a 17½-year-old Chihuahua-Yorkie mix, and Bagheera, a six-year-old black cat.
The Arcadia Community Coordinating Council meeting will offer attendees an opportunity to learn more about the work of Pasadena Humane and the many ways community members can support animals through volunteering, fostering, adoption, and advocacy.

About Pasadena Humane
Pasadena Humane is more than an animal shelter; we are a community-supported animal resource center providing compassion and care for all animals. Since 1903, Pasadena Humane has offered lifesaving programs and services for animals and the people who love them in the Greater Los Angeles Area. At our Pasadena campus, we provide shelter, dedicated care and new beginnings for thousands of our community’s most vulnerable animals every year. In addition to pet adoptions and fostering, we focus on programs and services that help people care for and keep their pets, such as free and low-cost spay/neuter and vaccination services, a pet food pantry, and an animal support call center. In 2024, Pasadena Humane helped more than 55,000 animals through adoptions, wildlife rehabilitation, lost & found, veterinary services, training classes, and surrender prevention assistance.
