Supervisor Kathryn Barger Issues Statement on Approval of Metro K Line Northern Extension

Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger issued the following statement following today’s Metro Board approval of the K Line Northern Extension project:
“This is an incredible project that will transform connectivity across Los Angeles County. The Hollywood Bowl, which sits in my district, is a cherished cultural landmark—but anyone who has attended an event or lives nearby knows the challenges: heavy congestion, persistent traffic, and gridlock that impact quality of life for residents and visitors alike.
A station at the Hollywood Bowl will be a true game changer. It represents a long-overdue investment in smart, accessible transit that will ease those impacts and improve how people move through this region.
I’ve heard it time and again—credibility matters when it comes to Metro. That’s why it’s so important that we follow through on this commitment. I’m confident this project will move forward without delay and that we will see it completed in our lifetime.
I look forward to the day I can take that ride myself. When that day comes, it will stand as a testament to the advocacy, persistence, and shared vision that were on full display today.”
